I won’t bother trying to explain the problems in academic fraud and useless research in the medical profession since you don’t care anyways, but suffice it to say that it has been a problem big enough to stimulate much discussion long before Trump won the election. Bad research isn’t just a waste, it leads future research down the wrong path.
Researchers are being evaluated for quality. It should have been done before by the system itself, but it wasn’t because there was lots of money coming out of the spigot. The good research and researchers will be funded - and every university and lab knows who those people are. This culling of the chaff is long overdue and will lead to better results, quicker results, and more money going to those who actually produce results.
I want what is best for the patients and not for Big Pharma and Big University. So does Trump. This system is wasteful, inefficient, poorly communicative, chaotic, and unsustainable.
I can only imagine the nightmare that exists in the non scientific research fields where the grasp of the idea of value is so warped inside the university bubble. Fear not, your input will be given the same value that you gave my input during the Obamacare upheaval.
