Perhaps he even has worked it out with the EU nations already from comments he made on Fox tonight and prepared world leader comments.
Z loses power if he faces an election. The EU is very threatened by Trump - not only his tariffs, but the conservative movements within their own countries as they increase their assault of free society liberties. Also, behind all of this somewhere - China looms as does the currency switch they covet.
The plus side is that the EU can start to pick up the responsibility for the mess that they should have been more involved in from the start.
The negative side is that the Ukrainian people will suffer either a) torture and persecution from Russian invaders or b) more years of war and suffering and then torture and persecution from Russian invaders.
Zelensky had a chance for a cease fire and then negotiations for peace in Budapest, and he spit on it. He is also one entitled mother fucker and feels that as our "partner", he deserves our unending cash that we don't actually have.

This interview well expresses my views, and that includes all 4 people - Brit Hume, Brent Baier, Shannon Breem, and Harold Ford.
There is no arguing or bickering - just good input by all.
PS - pretty sure I described Putin and his torture history and invasion clearly. But Zelensky is a manipulative SOB who selfishly fucked his people today and is too proud to apologize (unless he knew he was going to do it after getting assurances from the EU first which is about the only sane explanation that I can think of to explain his idiocy).
Both things can exist at the same time (and appears to be the case).
