Used the same breeder as my last one, however different lineage. The sire is an award winning import from Germany and the Dam is an import from Turkey by way of Germany. My breeder, like a lot of high quality reputable breeders leases imports. She has in house studs and dams as well. I chose this litter because of the hips/elbows A+, no DM, and he’s longhair. Never had a longhair shepherd.
This little guy has high drive and is a good eater.. I started training him with the basics and he’s catching on fast. The more intense training to include bite work will be around 6 months. Having fun, but I forgot how much work puppies are. My last shepherd was amazing in every way. My hope is that this guy measures up to him. Have a great Saturday to all. Back to playing and training Rocco.
The younger one is crazy.
Once you have 3 or more dogs, the rules are from the wolves.
Closest I came to getting a dog was Covid. That will never happen again.
It’s important with this breed as DM and hip/elbow issues can kill the dogs early.

Long hair, imported from Serbia, also A+ elbows and hips. Gunnar was/is easy to train
I read long hairs and plushes are less aloof/friendlier. That’s the case with ours.
GSDs are the best dogs out there.
And we are over the moon excited about this guy. Can’t wait to start bite work with him.
Had one when I was a kid, have been wanting to get one, but I have English Bulldogs right now.
Enjoy the new pup man
