Didn't you rejoice over people being fired for refusing the Covid vaccine?

In the midst of a raging pandemic that ultimately took 1M+ American lives, there's no 'Rejoicing'...

...those mandates were necessary to save lives and allow full commerce to return...btw, in many if not most cases there was an option to get tested weekly...no excuse for people to turn that down.

DOGE firings are wholly with prior assessment, much less thought...and are meant to disrupt our government infrastructure...and that affects everyone, regardless of political persuasion.

While I've got your attention...did you watch the interview with Olympic Swimmer, Donna De Verona, re: Trans Swimmers/Athletes?...once you have, post your response.

Thread Level: 4

The mandates were idiotic because it didn't prevent transmission. Moron.

...if that's too much for you to handle, here's a quick overview...i.e. at no time, did the transmission protection of COVID-19 vaccines ever hit ZERO...in fact, they started off with amazingly high efficiency...as shown in this excerpt.
--------------------
Results

For primary BNT162b2-vaccination we estimated initial VET at 96% (95%CI 95–97) against Alpha, 87% (95%CI 84–88) against Delta and 31% (95%CI 25–37) against Omicron. Initial VET of booster-vaccination (mRNA primary and booster-vaccination) was 87% (95%CI 86–89) against Delta and 68% (95%CI 65–70) against Omicron. The VET-estimate against Delta and Omicron decreased to 71% (95%CI 64–78) and 55% (95%CI 46–62) respectively, 150–200 days after booster-vaccination. Hybrid immunity, defined as vaccination and documented prior infection, was associated with durable and higher or comparable (by number of antigen exposures) protection against transmission.

Conclusions

While we observed VOC-specific immune-escape, especially by Omicron, and waning over time since immunization, vaccination remained associated with a reduced risk of SARS-CoV-2-transmission.

Note that I don't need to call you a "Moron", since you've just demonstrated that fact, all by yourself ;-)

It didn't prevent transmission. It had great value for the vulnerable. There was no justification for the mandates.

Wait a minute, Jake...are you trying to say that unless a vaccine is 100% effective, it doesn't stop

transmission?...is that what I'm hearing? If so, I've attached a memo from the Cleveland Clinic on "Herd Immunity"...btw, the initial mRNA vaccines were 90+% effective against the Alpha version of SARS-CoV-2, which definitely would have provided "Herd Immunity" if the vast majority of people living in the U.S. (~70%+) had gotten vaccinated. Didn't happen, BUT...those vaccines saved a lot of lives...as mentioned before, our ICU Doc (one of many across the country) found that upwards of 98% of ICU patients...i.e. Really Sick, and Dying...were UNVACCINATED.

So, given this info, you'd have to be truly Moronic not to get vaccinated...not just for yourself, but for all those you come in contact with, because those who don't get sick and still be infected and pass the disease on to those who are vulnerable.

This is incredible...after 5 years, you haven't learned a thing???...Amazing.

My position was that there was no constitutional right to a private sector job amidst a deadly pandemic.

Federal employees fired under DOGE are not being fired for cause. And their firings are unlawful.

Obama approach, and Trump's mindless DOGE cuts can be understood in looking at what each administration did for the workers affected...

>Obama:...Instituted a carefully thought out "POWER' Program (see link) to comprehensively address the employment needs of coal miners

>Trump;...NOTHING Planned...not even to see if the right people are being fired...(see National Nuclear Security Administration)

I get your weak attempts at sarcasm, but you're not being at all productive...probably because you know you're on the wrong side of so many issues, and can't muster any defenses.
