Trump declared the border an invasion and has attempted to criminalize asylum claims at the border. On top of that using the military to detract, trying to build out detention housing to accommodate detainees along with remain in Mexico again. The ACLU has sued the administration over these new policies and will go before a court. There are no new laws, etc.
