Amazing stuff
residents, but right now, I'd like to see an Inspector General re-hired to look into the SpaceX operation that our government is pouring tons of taxpayer money into. How about firing 50% of that Company and start over from scratch to see who needs to be re-hired...meanwhile, update the Playlists of the astronauts on the ISS.

How's that high speed rail coming along in California?
have a government contractor failing miserably on a very important project...in normal times we wouldn't have the owner of that company deciding what to do about it. After all, we're talking about Taxpayer money...right?

And that will be COMPLETED in...........?????????
The project is still alive, and just the beginning of a future that won't have commuters sitting for hours in their cars on 680, 580 and 880 every day...
Try seeing beyond the tip of your nose, Iggy.

In very, very, very slow motion. If you ever get the guts to make a prediction on when it will finish, please pencil me in for the Over. I have no doubt you will be wrong.
...you're embarrassed for jumping up and down over the booster capture, and not waiting long enough to see if it was all worthwhile...then deflecting as quickly as possible to something else when the bad news arrived.
Just accept that Elon is not all he's cracked up to be...by a long shot...which is why folks are now guessing how long he remains in his DOGE capacity.
TIA.
...and check out this excerpt from the linked article...
-------------------
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, asked last week by a reporter about Musk's financial interests with the federal government and his disclosure requirements, suggested that the tech billionaire himself would determine potential conflicts of interest with his businesses.

Is this anyway to take care of hard earned Taxpayers' money?

Show me the grants or payments made for Starship, or admit you were lying.
TIA!
Mark Twain's dictum about arguing with fools.
I'm just saying that when a government contractor, receiving taxpayer money, screws up that badly...i.e. two straight payload explosions...then something's wrong with the contractor and there's a good "Chance" that he (Elon) is not managing the Company/Project properly and needs to direct his attention to that problem.
btw, part of my first job out of ND was doing failure analysis on our company's part in the Strategic Minuteman Missile Program...i.e. the Re-Entry Vehicle that contained the Nuclear Warhead. A couple of years into that job we got word that a small rocket motor blew up during Q/A testing and I was tasked with finding and solving the problem. As a 24 yr old engineer I flew across the country and met with our contractor for the motor and led the team effort. After getting briefed...I started reviewing scores of high-speed film of all available rocket motor Q/A tests, and came up with a design change...it worked, and the Generals were happy...as well as my bosses. I know first hand what should be done when problems like the SpaceX Starship failure occur. Elon Musk needs to be earning the money we taxpayers are spending on him...not roaming the country giving Nazi salutes and firing people for no identifiable reason.

successful SpaceX Starship recovery...but there's something very wrong with the company's operations, and Elon is galavanting around the country causing chaos wherever he goes...time to "Fire" him ASAP and have Congress do its job of managing government funding...hire back Inspectors General...and do the hard work of intelligently finding waste as well as fraud. That would be a 'Victory' for all Americans.
While I have your attention...attached is an interesting article by a former Libertarian, entitled. "Why I Am Not a Libertarian"...would love to get your thoughts on the points he brings up...and of course, there's always the issue of you responding to my last post on the Abortion Issue...

Excerpt from the linked article:
SpaceX will bring two NASA astronauts back from the International Space Station this month after a damaged spacecraft extended their eight-day journey into a nine-month commision. SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk said he believes the two astronauts were stuck in space for political reasons and he could have rescued them sooner. The astronauts say they believe Musk and have been left in the dark about what really happened.
Last year, Musk offered to help bring the two astronauts home sooner than planned, but he claims he was rejected by the Biden administration.
“They were left up there for political reasons, which is not good,” Musk said....
...Musk said the Biden administration intentionally “pushed the return date past the inauguration date” in an effort to downplay Trump and his allies’ successes.
“There’s no way that they’re going to make anyone who’s supporting Trump look good,” Musk told Rogan.
In a Tuesday press conference, Williams and Wilmore were asked to confirm the credibility of Musk’s statements about the Biden administration. Wilmore said it “is absolutely factual,” while still choosing his words carefully so as not to pick sides.

vehicle had undeniable problems and it takes time to evaluate the failures...as well as evaluate the alternative (e.g. SpaceX)...after all, the Astronauts' lives are at stake. btw, the article notes that aside from time in Space, they were not in danger. Asserting that this was all 'Politics', is a big stretch that borders on pure gossip...i.e. "Misinformation".
