Because the burden of continuing the war, a losing war, falls on US.
The warmongers on this board are so delusional that they still believe Ukraine can the war. Now they don't dare to claim that Ukraine will win as they used to in early days of the war because they don't want to be embarrassed again. But in their hearts they still believe Ukraine will win.
Belief that Ukraine will win the war is the reason why warmongwrs on this board want to continue this war. Otherwise any rational people won't fight a war that they think they will lose.

I'm saying IF Ukraine (a huge if) turns the tide and victory appears likely, basic reasoning tells us this is a very real fear.
He would use them if Ukraine posed a threat to Russia. But they don’t.
He was considering the use of tactical nukes early on, when the war was going poorly for him. But he didn’t do it.
US intelligence knew he was considering it, just like it knew he was going to invade. So Trump is gutting the Intel agencies. Makes good sense.
