Can Putin accept a cease fire?

Some pundits say that he NEEDS the war to stay in power.

I have no idea.

I will be happy if the killing stops and Ukraine is secure and can begin rebuilding.

And yes I think the cost for Ukraine's future security must be borne by the Europeans.

After all, Ukrainians died to hold back Putin's murderous hordes.

If he were smart, he would have tried to ally himself with the West against China...would have been better for his people in the long run...but then again, he shouldn't even be in power right now, and here we are facing off with Russia.
