My mother's apple pie was the best of all time and fortunately my daughter some quality time
with her and makes it just as well. She makes extra crust just for me too.
john marshall cream pie.
there are lots of pretenders, but there is only one. the signature dessert created by the head chef at the john marshall hotel in richmond, va., a little over a hundred years ago. even the hotel lost the recipe, but my parents had managed to get their hands on a copy back in the 1940's and it remains in the family to this day. it is a taste treasure not to be forgotten.
