Let's not forget that Chinese authorities removed all Wet Market animals and then scrubbed it down,
thus eliminating evidence for finding a zoonotic origin. Note that SARS-CoV-1 had a zoonotic origin in the early 2000's and spread halfway to Wuhan. Mother Nature works every moment of every day changing viral strains in animals...so there is every reason to believe that SARS-CoV-2 also had a zoonotic origin that would embarrass China for not having heeded it's earlier warning...ergo, the removal of evidence from the Wuhan Wet Market.

Virology is a Biomedical science, and there is a great deal of data supporting a zoonotic origin...
whereas a 'Lab Leak' origin has only 'Happenstance' going for it...not very scientific, and not much data on frequency of occurrence...that being said, it's not beyond the realm of possibility for that to be the origin.
But Scientists don't make accusations based on pure Happenstance...especially when they get NOTHING for it...i.e. no additional wisdom and understanding of how this Coronavirus came to be, so that they can make scientific plans for vaccines in the future.
