We'll be Greece, where citizens pay or not pay their taxes, or simply pay 1/4 of what the law requires.

The rich won't be able to hire people to get their taxes down to nothing. The poor won't be screwed by (1) an amazingly complex tax system and (2) not being able to afford tax professionals to navigate it.

Even if you doubt that is the goal…you should recognize that, if a president wanted to destroy all checks on his power, he would do just what Trump is doing now.
And that should give you just a moment’s pause.

These folks might lean left or right but in the end none of them wants to diminish Madison’s Constitutional balancing act. SCOTUS will ALWAYS defend its own turf.
If there is one reason to feel that our country is really special it is that our Constitutional Republic is the greatest government in history.

Congress, by the way, is especially guilty of giving up its own powers. I was thinking, when everyone was talking about the war powers of the president: We haven't declared war for more than 80 years. Congress passes laws which give either bureaucracies or the president powers they shouldn't have, while they just make sure that they can insider trade.
But, Obama and Biden did the same shit when it comes to taking questionable acts, politicizing institutions, and increasing the power of POTUS. They all cooperated to build up the power of POTUS at the expense of other agencies. You guys choose not to notice it.
