Can you give me a summary of the article? What DOGE affiliate is trying to get the building?
And I would be against this, there are plenty of empty buildings/office space controlled by the government that could be repurposed for DOGE if needed.
DOGE. Building worth around $500 million. DOGE forced out the directors and staff of USIP and installed one of its own GSA staffers as president. That person then attempted to hand the institute’s $500 million headquarters over to DOGE for free.
I am not aware of what USIP does or what department they would be considered under. There is usually a lot of arguments over what money paid for what, so that could certainly be a problem as to who ends up using the building. How dismantled was the USIP if they left one of the DOGE people in charge?
longer functioning after DOGE who tried to take over their building. Just a little conflict of interest there.
It gives off a bad smell when the place that shut one down wants to take over the building they took over.
