Forget about the current politics. Its about history, about joining together in remembering those who gave immense sacrifice.
President Trump should sent a representative to attend Victory Day event in Moscow and recognize the Russia's role in fighting Nazi German. After all they inflicted 80% of Nazi German casualties during World War II.
President Putin should speak openly and loudly to acknowledge significant aid from the United States. Most Russians are ignorant about the aid which included military supplies, industrial goods and even food, provided by the US through the Lend-Lease Act during WW II.
It was nice back then in 2010 when US. military march in Red Square. Hopefully they will march again in the future on Victory Day.

"we did more than any other Country, by far, in producing a victorious result on World War II...nobody was close to us in terms of strength, bravery, or military brilliance"
Do you agree?

But Putin and his fellow gangsters destroyed it.
Of man dropped to 50 something years old. For this Russian people will forever thank Putin for saving Russia from miserable 1990s. I know it's hard for you to understand.
Putin just brought corrupt, slightly better management.

Please know that I will respond to you in kind, but accept this as somewhat of an olive branch.
Are you Chinese or Russian?
If the Russian people are happy with Putin, I feel sorry for them. Hundreds of thousands of families are suffering because of Putin’s warmongering.
Imagine a true democracy in Russia. My fear is that the Russian people are so brainwashed into thinking that there is nothing better than what they have now.
300-year rule over Russia. They were then smothered by Stalin's dynasty and now Putin. They've had but a glimpse of a free society .
A significant % don't have indoor plumbing or hot water.

That maybe Russia and its citizens could have flourished in a democratic capitalistic society. I guess we will never know.
Here's hoping we don't fall under a similar fate.
