as DJT came out a winner as the market made a Uey. They exclaimed, “China caved, US won. Trump is a genius - I told you Brah!” - High-fives everywhere coupled with muscle flexing and big shit-eating grins. So much congratulatory swearing.

I guess saving face is the next step in the trump style winning. Businesses have now been given the freedom to price-gouge as prices on goods from China will remain higher should all trade actually go back to pre-tariff norms.

The great negotiator is welcome in China.

30% tarriff on China. It basically went back to the Liberation Day's 34%, not to status quo ante.

But I won't declare a victory since there is no permanent deal or framework of the deal yet.

Both countries dropped tariffs to 10% for the 90 day pause...which is reciprocal tariffs

Which is what trump promised.

That is a big win from where it used to stand with China gouging our products with tariffs.

***Making it permanent is still an issue for sure***. But it was a big buckle by China, and they would not make such a move unless they were forced to do so...esp after how much money they pumped into their economy to hide the damage.

In fact they did not. They reciprocated a reduction in tariffs. They caved.

The only one who was broken by Trump's tariff games is Trump.

Chris94 is spot on.

But, I do credit Trump for recognizing his foolhardiness and reversing course.

How many families lost savings through these 4 months? How many insiders made hay yesterday knowing this was to happen?

or just savings as investments therefore no complaints?
There are no small businesses or businesses that survive on the margins out there who depend on stability in their investments they all live as you do.

Talk about drama. You’re that guy who stops and stands at the end of a busy escalator to look at his cell phone.

Small businesses did not collapse. Personal investments did not collapse.
The lame escalator comment relates to nothing.

Is this the part where you squawk that I am an idiot?
