This has nothing to do with Biden. I was critical of Biden around shady business dealings.
Qatar is hardly an ally and accepting a 400 million dollar jet hardly comes with no strings attached. The optics are not good, especially with the crypto component. What I will give Trump credit for us that he isn’t trying to hide his shady dealings.

Embarrassing that we are doing anything at all with Qatar. Home to the Muslim Brotherhood and until recently, the home to Hamas leadership (they actually all lived at a Four Seasons in Doha. Fun fact - Bill Gates owns the Four Seasons). We have an active US Air Base in Qatar - Al Udeid Air Base.

From what I've heard, that gift goes to the National Archives, and then could be loaned to the
Trump Presidential Library as a tourist viewing...but not for operation by DJT. He certainly would like to fly it, but that's not how it works...according to a recent podcast by Trump supporting, Alan Dershowitz.
btw, Boeing has 2 brand new AF-1's under construction, but they take years to complete...this one wouldn't get fitted out as an AF-1 any sooner (e.g. 2029)...and it's a 13 yr old plane...i.e. a Qatari castoff.
