Russia clearly is not. All the world’s dictators prey on their more primitive masses’ anxieties about the future to justify repression and war. Iran plays this card to the hilt and so do a lot of the other ME autocrats.

There are about 2 billion Muslims in the world today. I’ve read that 15-25% are radicalized. That’s a lot of enemies of the west.
