Whatever pain, be it temporary stock market dips (shudder) or what have you, will likely be worth it to restore critical technology and infrastructure manufacturing. This should be obvious to most Americans, even Democrats.

Biden beat Trump to it with the CHIPS Act...no legislation from DJT in his first term, and nothing
in the works this term...just lots of chaotic tariffs and promises that "sometime" in the future, somehow we'll grow bananas to level the playing field with Central and South American countries. Stupidity on parade.
