DOGE has been an unprecedented and reckless exercise of power.

Wall Street would severely punish any company that took on the same percentage of debt, year after year, just saying "we are investing in the future" while taking on existential threat levels of debt, with no plan to pay it down. You have exposed yourself with this comment.

of his first budget which is supposed to start from October 2025 to the end of September 2026.

Furthemore, the reason why Moody downgraded US is because of the growing burden of financing the federal government's budget deficit and the rising cost of rolling over existing debt due to high interest rates.
Both were caused by Biden admin in the last 4 years. Just check FY2022,FY2023,Fy2024 and FY2025 budgets and the inflation during that period which forced Fed to increase interest rate which led to higher payments to the national debts (close to 1T annually).

to include Trump’s had to do with the downgrade.

“ the recent downgrade had do with concerns about the country's increasing government debt and the potential for further fiscal deterioration. Moody's cited rising interest costs, large fiscal deficits, and the potential for these deficits to worsen in the future as key factors leading to the downgrade. The downgrade also reflects a general erosion of governance standards over the past two decades, as evidenced by debt limit standoffs and last-minute resolutions.”

Key point…Moodys has little confidence that Trump will change things for the better.

Again, im not claiming that this is all Trump’s fault, however he’s to blame as much as Bush, Obama, and Biden.

Also, we can go back to name calling if you’d like. You’ve been warned..

And if you think it is because of Trump, and not the $36T+ debt and continued deficit spending over the past decades, you are just being partisan.

And despite this idiotic DOGE farce, he’s repeating it again this term despite kicking poor people off of Medicaid. Everything he touches turns to shit.

Trump’s chaos has resulted in a loss of confidence in US. Hence, the downgrade.

entitlements which will involve cuts. Increase taxes on the rich to help make these programs solvent. Hell if he was serious about reducing the deficit, he should pledge every penny he gets in Medicaid savings to reduce the debt rather than give a tax cut to his billionaire crony buddies. And the DOGE BS is a joke to let him eliminate programs he doesn’t like and create chaos in the govt. Remember he was gonna save 2 trillion? What’s it down to now? And even that is likely significantly inflated.

Every time he tries to stop spending, you guys oppose him, and then criticize him for trying and failing.

Bottom line, Congress needs to weigh in. If Congress won't take action on this, then I will be disappointed. But, then deficit spending in the absrract becomes a non-voting issue, because both sides support it. Only voting aspect of it left is how will we destroy the country with debt? I'll take border and national security; you can have genital mutilation and support for Jewish genocide in academia, and the like.

Heck, you guys get pissed when he tries to stop spending.

Now you say he is spending more. I would love to see an explanation of that. Sounds like the agencies are trying to get cash out the door to Stacey Abrams and company before he can stop it.

Whatever. My position is this: Cut all spending as much as possible. Nothing should survive at least a partial cut. But, you guys say that is unconstitutional, and Congress has to do that. Maybe. And if so, we are definitely fucked as a country, because Congress definitely won't do that. So, you can keep blaming him for it, I guess.

None of the money is spent unless he agrees to it and approves it, or his veto is overridden. He also had R majorities in Congress his first 2 years. He negotiated the budget agreements. HIS current budget plan increases the deficit by up to 10 trllion the next ten years.

Passed a budget in the normal course, that is. Continuing resolutions and last minute funding of the government is not "a budget." Funny to see people who supported more spending year after year get upset at Trump doing so.
As for me, I have been upset at Dems & GOP spending more year after year, and I will be upset at Trump if he continues to do that. I've been nothing but consistent on spending.
