It’s Zelensky who has too much pride and money and fame to lose that wouldn’t settle for peace.

Zelensky and Ukraine are the victims…
Ukrainians are fighting for their very survival. Hopeless isn’t a word I’d use to describe their plight. The Ukrainians are out numbered 10-1. I’d say they’ve done a pretty good job fighting the savages this far. Having said that, I won’t go as far as to say they will win, but with western help, they may be able to outlast Russia.
Ukraine people are victims. Zelensky has done quite well for himself.
And yes, Putin is the aggressor. And yes, Zelensky is no where near the problem as Putin. But Zelensky's motives are not pure, and his people are paying a horrible price as they continue fighting in an unwinnable war.
He's also set up a dictatorship in his own country (much more than just the "necessary" suspension of elections).

therefore he’s a victim as well. And an election during a time of war in the Ukraine would be a disaster. In fact, during a time of martial law, elections are not to happen according to the Ukrainian constitution.
It’s perplexing how some think the Ukrainians should just stop defending themselves and their country. What do you think will happen if they surrendered and or just stopped fighting?
