The "Green New Deal" was never enacted, however, elements of the GND are in the 'Deficit Reducing' IRA. A clear example of responsible governance...unlike what just passed the House.

and larger segment of Americans whose basic NEEDS are not being met...while the WANTS of the Wealthiest among us are attended to. That's the reality of our current situation...you good with that?...Are you even aware of it?

The resolution is clear...Increase taxes on the above average profits and disposable income from Corporations and extremely wealthy Americans, while reprising the thoughtful bipartisan spending cuts that the Clinton/Gore administration produced. Sadly, the Wannabe Plutocrats have found their Salesman.

Even internally this is the case, which is why people and businesses flee high tax and regulation states for ones with less governmental burdens.

Maybe you would like to see the economy totally controlled by a central government?

What could go wrong? Less initiative? An end to progress?

...as the link shows, U.S. CEO's could use a "Haircut" compared to their counterparts around the world. A 344x ratio isn't necessary to compete in today's global economy. Note how the major U.S. Auto Makers ended up agreeing to 40% pay increases for workers after public pressure was applied.

In the opinion of many, our current disregard for the vast majority of citizens...including MAGAs...is unhealthy and as history shows us, it's unsustainable.

Btw, you might want to pick up a copy of Nobel Prize Winner, Joseph Stiglitz's book "Globalization and its Discontents...Revisited"...it expands the discussion to include the World Bank, IMF and global trade agreements...plus the recent advent of Trumpism, which brings those "Discontents" home to roost.
