"Biblical belief in 2 genders" ... as if biological science doesn't require 2 genders.

Pope Leo: Gender ideology is confusing because it seeks to create genders that don't exist.

Perhaps he just wanted to speak Truth to Power…

Apparently Generacs run on alternating currents.

Why is he arguing religious freedom rather than biological reality and long established linguistic norms?

Also, I kind of doubt that was the reason he was fired. Maybe the final straw.

Not sure, but I'd suspect his religion & biological reality are intertwined as is not lying

The article says that the guy has a spotless employment record in his 5 years there.

Regardless of his argument or of the court result, I am pretty sure how this will play to Generac customers as they come to find out that the company has an aggressive DEI program. Pretty sure there is strong overlap with the old Bud Light demographic.

BGG looks like it might be a steal right now, but I have no idea how that company is run or why they have been tanking for the las 5 yrs.

Do you think people think about politics when they buy a generator?

Maybe people do, like the Tesla backlash that is still baffling to me.

I figure that people who buy Generac (in general) tend to be the ant in the old fable of the Ant and the Grasshopper.
They plan ahead, they don’t rely on govt to take care of them. They don’t trust the system to work, and they want a sensible back up - to the point that they even spend a lot of their own money. They see the brown outs on the horizon.
Generally speaking, this group of people will be offended by Generac’s aggressive DEI dept just as the the conservatives who made up the majority of Bud Light drinkers were offended.

I take back my half joking comment about buying BGG (Generac’s competitor) because I just remembered Trump’s deregulation of the nuclear power industry yesterday. Up until now, no legislation would make a difference because of the onerous regs - and the politicians knew that. Now, future brown outs don’t look as likely, and the back up generator industry as a whole may be taking a hit……..not a good time to have a coincident brand crisis.
