The Spirit of Ayn Rand and Objectivism is alive and well in the GOP...with no need for pesky. Catholic Social Justice Teachings.

Meanwhile, the National Debt grows ever larger...

Many poor people actually receive more than they paid in federal tax. So to suggest that people who have a negative tax rate, after refundable credits are being stole from is simply: stupid.

Fun with numbers, the bottom 50% don't pay federal taxes.

So it's kind of hard to give a tax break to people who don't pay federal taxes. What we should be doing is what Elon and I have suggested, eliminate all deductions, credits, etc. Set the rate to something reasonable and it's a simple math equation, income * rate = taxes owed.

The Tax Code definitely needs improvements (see suggestions in the linked article)

btw, in your earlier TED Talk, Scott Galloway called for, among other things, Child Care Credits...you support that?...if so, who pays for it?

Earners pay the majority of the taxes. Owners pay almost nothing. The only way to fix it is to eliminate the game.

I've been advocating for a 3rd choice for decades, neither of these parties are capable of solving the problems we face.

"Open Borders", when the Biden admin got a bipartisan Senate Bill passed at the beginning of 2024 that Lead GOP Senator, James Lankford praised repeatedly...talk about "Gaslighting". Don't shirk your response...I'm waiting.

Btw, Scott didn't mention any lies by Democrats that I heard...their failure for him was that their didn't communicate well enough to young men...easily adjusted, given the Dem policies to help students afford college, while investing in new jobs (e.g. CHIPS Act...Advance Act (new Nuclear Power opportunities, etc.).

Accountants and tax attorneys provide no value to society. I think the last number I heard was 80,000 pages of federal tax code. Absurd.

Like I have said, none of this is about balancing the budget.

Plus, obviously, most poor people pay income taxes. They also get benefits so it’s net zero. But they also pay FICA, state, local, sales, etc.
