Here’s a concept…if Russia didn’t invade, over a million Russian and Ukrainians wouldn’t have died.

And the alleged “Assassination” attempt would be considered justification, huh?

And Zelensky went not only behind Putin’s back which now makes it near impossible…he went behind the back his ally who funds him.
Zelensky is now also a dictator in his own country ( cancelled elections are explainable, but dissolving all opposition parties and closing churches is not).

You may think its ok to go hehind your ally’s back in negotiations, but I don’t.
Zelensky doesn’t want peace, and he proved it.

No more funding would be my action unless Ukraine puts up a different leader whi can be trusted - otherwise, good luck!

Trump has no backbone to go around. Zelensky is doing what he feels is best for his country. If that means he doesn’t adhere to Trump directives…so be it. From all that I’ve read and seen, Trump doesn’t have the Ukrainian’s best interests in mind during the peace process. Trump only appeases Putin and that isn’t even enough. Hell, Trump won’t even levy new sanctions on Putin.

You always go back to the Ukrainian election thing, when you know full well that according to the Ukrainian constitution, no elections are to be held while the country is under martial law. Also, Russia is good at meddling in other countries elections. You don’t think that Putin is just waiting for that?

I suspect that if Ukraine put up a different leader who did want peace, liberals wouldn’t want that . This is about their TDS.
They don’t care about the 2500 Ukrainians dying each week. This is about Zelensky standing up to Trump - THAT is who tgey back and why.
Plus, they don’t EVER want Trump to (in their eyes) having the success of achieving peace.

PS - you again failed to comprehend what I posted re the Z suspension of elections which I specifically said had an possible explanation - Z dissolving all of the opposition parties in Ukraine and shuttering the Churches - not so much.

You and your ilk believe Zelensky/Ukraine should accept Russian occupation. Think about that. Also, Zelensky has attended “peace talks”. Putin never has. Think about that. Now who doesn’t want to end the war?

I guess that’s what happens to “my ilk”.

The definition of “ilk” is “you and people like you. I’m sure you see the difference, but maybe not.

And a hopeless situation is Russian occupation. There’s always hope when you’re still able to fight and Ukrainian military is doing that valiantly. Foreign aid has gone to the right cause.

The ban of 11 political parties had ties Russia/Putin. Seems like a logical move to me.
