If they were given TS and still leaked the information, even worse.

And I highly doubt it. My doubt is solely based on Trump’s typical unplanned, knee jerk political agenda. At least it seems that way.
Intelligence Staffer Critical of Trump Charged With Seeking to Pass Classified Documents to Foreign Government

A Defense Intelligence Agency employee was charged with attempting to pass classified intelligence to a foreign government, offering to spy because he didn’t agree “with the values” of the Trump administration, the Justice Department said.
Nathan Vilas Laatsch, a civilian information technology staffer at DIA, was arrested in Northern Virginia Thursday after a three-month Federal Bureau of Investigation investigation during which he allegedly left a thumb drive containing classified documents at a public park for pickup by a “friendly” foreign government.
In fact, his messages had been intercepted by FBI agents. An agent had been communicating with him for weeks, posing as a foreign handler after the bureau received a tip that Laatsch had offered his services as a spy, according to the Justice Department.
“The recent actions of the current administration are extremely disturbing to me,” Laatsch wrote in a March email. “I don’t agree or align with the values of this administration and intend to act to support the values that the United States at one time stood for,” according to an affidavit in support of a criminal complaint.
He was “willing to share classified information that I have access to which are completed intelligence products, some unprocessed documentation,” he said. He didn’t seek “material compensation,” but was seeking citizenship in the foreign country because he didn’t “expect things here to improve in the long term,” he allegedly told an FBI agent.
The Justice Department didn’t identify the country Laatsch sought to contact.
His arrest comes at the same time as Trump administration intelligence officials have launched a wide-ranging crackdown on information leaks, especially from employees of intelligence agencies, whom Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has accused of “politicization” and “leaking of classified information.”
“This case underscores the persistent risk of insider threats,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X. “The FBI remains steadfast in protecting our national security and thanks our law enforcement partners for their critical support.”
Laatsch, 28 years old, was assigned to DIA’s Insider Threat Division, which is responsible for identifying employees who could be a risk to national security, and held a top secret security clearance, according to the Department of Justice. He is due to appear in court in Virginia Friday afternoon.
Before joining DIA in 2019, Laatsch had worked for a decade as a cashier at supermarkets in Florida, according to his LinkedIn profile. He had been home-schooled and later earned a cybersecurity degree at Florida Polytechnic University, the profile said.
DIA is a Pentagon agency that collects intelligence about the military capabilities and intentions of foreign states. A DIA spokesman confirmed that Laatsch is employed by the agency and said that DIA “has been cooperating with the FBI on this matter from the beginning of this investigation.”
“The United States will never stand for attempts to degrade our national security and threaten Americans’ safety,” Rep. Rick Crawford (R., Ark.), the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said in a statement on Laatsch’s arrest. Counterintelligence threats “are only increasing and becoming more persistent.”
Joshua Skule, a former FBI official who was the bureau’s executive assistant director for intelligence, said recent personnel cuts in intelligence agencies make them even more vulnerable to security leaks by disaffected employees, but noted that many previous administrations have seen similar cases.
“There is a huge insider threat within the government with the cuts,” he said.
Laatsch transcribed classified information onto a notepad at DIA and took the materials out of the building, prosectors said. The thumb drive he left at a drop site in the park contained secret and top secret documents and a message saying that the documents demonstrated “the range of types of products” he could provide.
This month, Laatsch transcribed additional pages of notes while logged into his DIA classified workstation. He tucked these pages into his clothing and took them from the building, prosecutors said. The FBI arrested Laatsch Thursday when he attempted to hand off classified documents.

And what does this have to do with a former DOGE employee?
