Wars are never won in the past…

Russia hasn’t learned from their past. Same stale tactics, same shitty leadership from the top down. Yes, technology has improved, but that obviously hasn’t been enough. 3 years in and Russia has made minimal gains. Ukraine has fewer soldiers, but they’re better trained and they’re fighting for their country’s survival. Slava Ukraine. Fuck Russia

The author is in dire need of a Webster's Dictionary so as to define the word "iconoclast," as well

as delving a bit deeper into his Asian studies library to learn a little more about the character of General Douglas MacArthur. Unfortunately, it also appears that Mr.Sussex did not study anything written by Lt. General Johnathan M. Wainwright or any of the other survivors of Bataan, including females.

This cuts both ways.

Both the US and Russia withdrew from that country in humialation.

In this case, let's imagine that the US eliminates all aid to Ukraine, which as a result is obliterated by Putin's hordes.

In that case, we look weak and pathetic in the eyes of the world AND Putin must somehow rule a devasted country that hates him while he flails to bring Russia into the modern world economically and technologically.

It's Afghanistan for both of us all over again.

Who wins?

CHINA!

Big difference between the two withdrawals…

Russia exited in outright defeat.

While the US withdrawal was a clusterfuck and a disaster, we drew down our forces in a systematic way so that the Afghan government wasn’t taken by surprise. Unfortunately, the Afghan army didn’t have the backbone to fight off the reinvigorated Taliban.

I’m hopeful that the aid doesn’t completely stop.. Pauses in aid only helps Russia. At least the EU is standing fast with aid.

All that said, in my opinion, the Ukraine is the new front. Letting them fail is letting Eastern Europe fail.
