I check in from time to time to see which way the winds are blowing. For four years under Biden and 8 under Obama the "hatred and vitriol" was on the same level as we are seeing now. I'm afraid that when minds are locked arguments fall on deaf ears.
For example, although I feel that the country benefits from well regulated LEGAL immigration, I also FEEL VERY STRONGLY that in the modern world allowing ILLEGAL immigration is tantamount to national suicide.
I also FEEL that playing clever interpretation games with of asylum provisions to accomplish de facto illegal immigration is worse than disingenuous... it is maliciously dishonest.
I cannot honestly discuss these issues with those whose GOAL is to open the borders.
I prefer to see their political candidates defeated.
Let’s be clear…even DJT acknowledged in his first term that only Congress can resolve our broken
Border/Immigration problems…he then ordered the killing of a bipartisan Senate bill that addressed all the issues he raised in 2019, with even more CBP and ICE officers than he called for.
So, in point of fact, it is Trump who is “Keeping the Border Open”…not Democrats.
Another point of fact…we NEED MILLIONS MORE immigrants who can be processed/vetted rapidly for our GDP the rise…and for aid in funding Social Security and Health Care. Democrats aren’t playing political games with this issue…clearly, Trump is…face up to it.
