Yes, this is a problem, we are subsidizing wage deflation at the taxpayer's expense.
And who pays taxes? Workers, not owners. So the owners get cheap labor they can subject to inhumane working conditions, not have to provide benefits and a tax break on top. It's the American Dream from 1860!
Actually, undocumented immigrants are paying more and getting less when it comes to taxes...and the
abuse is far ranging...especially in Red States, like Texas. Note that DJT is foisting ICE agents on major (Dem) cities...but NOT on farmers, where undocumented immigrants have 'worked for many years...and are good people'. Didn't know that he was capable of noticing the distinction.
