We were in the same platoon at Quantico, and served together in 3d Marines, deploying twice to WestPac, including Beruit in 1983. We were housemates in Kaneohe. My buddy served 20 years and was a Company Commander during Desert Storm. My buddy grew up on a farm outside Pittsburgh and votes Republican. We both would take a bullet for each other, because we are brothers. And we are Americans.

Marines don’t hunt down fellow Americans. We drink with them.

You voted for a President who stripped USAID to help starving children and to eliminate funding to combat epidemics and save lives.

USAID was corrupted by your party. Just like Hamas who hides underneath hospitals with innocents, you voted for people who shamelessly used the organization as cover under which to hide corruption. Shame on you for supporting such despicable actions.

You make the simple-minded and false assumption that such aid cannot be given EXCEPT through USAID, when in fact, it can be reconstituted without the corruption.

Further, USAID was also turned into the focal point for the spread of the corrupt DEI ideology throughout the world which is the antithesis of catholic teaching....ie discrimination against innocents based on race/gender/etc. in order to make up for past sins by others.

I find your excuse making here to be noxious. US military code is quite clear about the punishment for breaking the chain of command: court martial. There is no more moral argument for you here - your liberal cohort went to an outlier local political judge and got an order for the POTUS to not deploy troops.
A higher court put a stay on the ruling, and then a US District Court of San Francisco (the 9th - the most liberal of all district courts) ruled 3-0 that Trump gave a perfectly legal order (and an obviously correct one I will add).

Wearing the uniform does not mean you get to pick and choose what laws you follow.
