This way is unlikely to force peace, Iran has not made official statement to declare war though. Instead it will likely lead to a long war between Iran and US/Israel and US/Israel can't win a long war.
The worse is, this attack will lead Iran to develop nukes very soon. Trump didn't learn the lesson of history. North Korea sped up its nuclear program after Bush's infamous "axis of evil" speech (Iraq, north korea and Iran) and attacked one of evils later. 3 years later North korea successfully tested its nuke. If "axis of evil" speech made north korea desperate to develop nukes, attacking Iran will definitely make Iran determined to make nukes.

Most of all, our military. If the choice was more appeasement, then how would MAGA have felt? Our nation, IMHO, is safer tonight than it was last night.
Finish the job as needed.

To say a poll has most of MAGA against is pretty misleading. There are varied opinions and the squeaky MAGA wheels will most certainly get the attention from the usual suspects in the media. It's usually the anti-Trump "twats" that rely on polls to try and support their messaging. I'm suprised that some R conservatives are using the same technique. We can come here to an anonymous message board and bitch till the end of the world but IMHO, the time now is to support our military. I love DeSantis too. What makes any of you think he wouldn't have done the same thing? What would Harris do? Biden? King Obama? We're all sitting here pretending to know what DJT and his team know.

I think you said you're a military guy. Now's the time to support the troops. These are your people. I'm not even military and I seem to be the only one thinking about our troops involved. I don't give a rat's behind what any of you 24/7 TDS anti-Trumpers think and say about MAGA and DJT, but there are actual U.S. military doing the work. Our servicemen here , of all people, should at least recognize that.
Read below. I was poking fun at the use of the word “appeasement.”
No leaks of information and a successful mission. Let’s see what happens next. If these savages think they can close the strait without another ass kicking, they’re crazy.
Strait of Hormuz. We will or already have two carrier battle groups in the region. Iran’s “navy” and use the word “navy” loosely, is nothing compared to our navy.

It's sort of like DFH and others like him who actually believe we can kill off the Islamists. They never get through their thick skulls that we produce more homicidal zealots with all our meddling in the Islamoland.
Nothing like watching a feckless pussy stomp his feet and cry. Turn in your man card as you don’t understand the “warriors ethos.”
The U.S. Constitution grants Congress the sole power to declare war, while the president is designated as commander in chief of the armed forces. This means that the president cannot take actions that put the United States in a state of war without Congress's approval, such as military attacks on a foreign nation. However, the president does have the power to order the military to respond to attacks and imminent threats.
The War Powers Act of 1973, passed in response to the Vietnam War and other conflicts, further constrains the president's war-making powers. The act requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops and to get congressional approval for extended military actions beyond 60 days. The act has been controversial, with the executive branch arguing for more flexibility and the legislative branch arguing for maintaining its check on presidential power. Some scholars argue that the act has not succeeded in ensuring that presidents adequately consult Congress during military crises, and there are ongoing debates about amending or repealing the act.
Seems Trump's argument is he is bombing nuclear site, not declaring a war. But the act of bombing is de facto declaring a war.

DeSantis's people have always believed that Trump is basically a Democrat, before the Dems went nuts, and they are correct. You'll note how easily Trump went softer on the abortion issue when it appeared to hurt his polling, whereas people like DeSantis and Massie are not going to change their positions according to polls.
