Reports are that plans have been in the works for months, if not years, to carry out this mission, and there were so many elements of misdirection involved. Therefore, you could imagine that a plan for detecting and rooting out leakers surely must have been considered.
Planned or not, in this day and age, the Signal Chat Leak involving Pete Hegseth and Michael Waltz sure seems to have been a blessing.
