application of "Due Process". Huge numbers of Undocumented Immigrants work in our Agriculture and Hospitality Industries, not to mention Construction...so there's no way DJT can possibly achieve the greatest Mass Deportation effort in U.S. history w/o having ICE raid GOP majority states in the Mid-West and that's never going to happen. This is all hypocritical...and cruel..political theater.
btw, Trump's approval ratings are underwater by double digits...and his immigration policies are a significant factor. Also, one of the lead ANES researchers is a Fellow at the Conservative Hoover Foundation...just saying.

Granted, Trump shut down the border when the Biden Ghost President would not, so going forward, so at least the need for deportations will stop growing.
border, that's tantamount to economic suicide for our Agriculture and Construction Industries, along with DJT's near and dear Hospitality Industry (for which he himself has been hiring "Illegal" immigrants for decades at his resorts)...all those Undocumented Immigrants who have been working those farms and hotels for 25 years or more...Good, Hardworking people, according to Donald Trump no less...not murderers and rapists who are poisoning the blood of America.
Don't forget that DJT, in 2019, called on Congress to FINALLY resolve our broken (and it is broken) Border Security/Immigration System...and then when the bipartisan Senate Bill, in 2024, gave us 1,500 CBP Officers, instead of the 750 he asked for, along with 6 month waits for vetting, instead of 6+ years, plus 100+ High Speed Fentanyl Scanners for 10,000cars and trucks that enter the country in Laredo, Texas alone not to mention other check points...he kills it so that Biden can't claim victory, as my often posted video of GOP Sen. Lankford's speech testifies to.
Don't you see how you're being played so that he can indulge himself in all kinds of personally enriching endeavors, while not improving the lives of those who foolishly vote for him?

proves it. As for the 2024 election, JB ran out of gas, and KH suffered from a very short campaign window, as well as Racism and Misogyny. Lessons have been learned about communicating with ALL Americans and they will be applied in 2026 and 2028...
Given the fact that Trump needs to politically, and physically threaten GOP lawmakers in order for them to 'stay in line', your time would be better spent worrying about the GOP's future. Note that a 1.5% popular vote margin in 2024, coupled with current approval ratings touching the high 30's doesn't spell "Landslide" for the future. Ignore such facts at your own peril...get rid of Trump(ism) ASAP....we need responsible Conservatives.

disaster is Trump killing a better bill than the one he pleaded for in 2019...Face it, Immigration is just a political tool for him to get votes. Note that he isn't even trying to negotiate a new Border Security/Immigration Bill...even though he's stated that our Agriculture, Hospitality and Construction Industries desperately need such Immigrants...even if the are Undocumented...
Time that you "Woke" Up! ;-)
Hint: The problem with your stupid bill wasn't money. I suspect you know this.
depends on getting millions more workers as Boomers retire, and we can't make babies reach working age overnight...them's the facts of life, Jake. It takes $$ to make $$$...you should know this.
Read again. The problem with the bill wasn't that there wasn't enough money.
ALL issues related to Border Security and Immigration Policy...as well as funding...yet he had not problem backing it.
I don't know or particularly care what his involvement was on the drafting of that bill. I do know that his statements after the fact reflect that felt that the bill was essentially the only way to get the ball rolling on beginning to get changes in.
I reject that approach, as the other G.O.P. senators clearly did. The bill would have basically codified into law the huge flow of unchecked immigration from our southern border that began when the Biden administration took office. I reject the idea that we should throw money or resources at a problem without enforcing existing laws first. And as for the flow that this bill would have willfully enabled, forget it. It was unacceptable, and the idea that we should use that as a "starting point" is silly.

It was national suicide.
