that Harvey Milk was in the U.S. Navy and was a Dive Instructor...unfortunately, at that time there was bias against gay people, so he wasn't able to continue serving the country. With examples of LGBTQ persons of high achievement, like Alan Turing (Computer Science and WWII Code Breaking, saving untold numbers of lives)...Tim Cook (Apple CEO)...and Peter Thiel (High Tech Entrepreneur)...it borders on stupidity to discriminate against Gays, Lesbians, etc. who have such potential for advancing the common good.
Note also that Notre Dame's Leadership and Administration stands unambiguously in support of LGBTQ students, faculty and staff...if you don't like that, you should find another University that agrees with your bias and hatred to cheer for
