Would you be comfortable living under Sharia las?
By the way, Zohran identifies as a Muslim.. I’m not sure he’s aware of the Beatitudes

...do yourself a favor and seek out more complete perspectives, as in the attached article. Bottom Line...Islam is not homogeneous...there are 'Liberals' as well as 'Conservatives'...and there are also 'Extremists'...not unlike what we see in Christian Religious Sects...and the Catholic Church.
Don't forget that U.S. Afghan War Vets pleaded with Trump and Congress to get Afghanis (i.e. Muslims) who risked their lives to save Americans, out of that country so that they could live under American Laws.
btw, I strongly recommend that you and others read Reza Azlan's book "No God, But God" to get a comprehensive understanding of Islam...from its very beginning...and evolution to today...

And what does this have to do with using personal interpretations of religious texts to support a political bias?
And does it involve googling links or using one’s own brain?
...just relying on your own perceptions without seeking, or being open to, information from multiple reliable sources (that's an exercise in Critical Thinking in and of itself) leaves gaps in complete understanding of an issue...and leaves you open to easy rebukes...like your lack of understanding regarding the Islamic Faith.
For me, I've read books that focus on Islam...and interacted with Muslims...even got invited to a Muslim wedding...along with observing many Muslims who are staunch defenders of the American political system. That's how I've formed my opinion and response to you.
