I'm certain this mindset appeals to Gen Z folks.

And children know they have a safety net in their parents should they need it. Sounds like his family have a clear vision of their family life.

So, what’s your point or anyone’s point if they think this is outrageous?

He's not a child. A child should not be mayor of NYC.

More hypocrisy from Baron...I'll bet he made use of generational wealth to foot the bill through ND

and give him the chance to move on to Med School...unlike the untold millions of Americans who have virtually no retirement savings for themselves, much less for their kids.

We need to get closer to the Post WWII days when the CEO to Avg Worker ratio was around 21:1, rather than 300:1...or more, like it is today.

But for Baron, that doesn't even register...he's too jealous of Ophthalmologists and belly aches on this Board that they make more per hour than he does as an OB/GYN...talk about self-centered entitlement.

fellow New Yorkers DON'T have the family wealth he has to weather bad times...it's central to his policy of taxing the rich (2%) and using those "Discretionary" funds to help others who absolutely NEED assistance.

LOL. His support had nothing to do with his proclaimed platform. It was pure identity politics.

Look at the demographics!

This will not translate in the vast majority of the country.

there are plenty of whites near the poverty line in many red states...so he's speaking to them as well, whether they realize it or not...so if he does well in NYC shrinking the wealth gap, that will definitely resonate throughout the country. Also, since the U.S. is forecasted to have a non-white majority by ~2045, it won't be long before even more folks will get behind that platform...IF he delivers in NYC. Based on current performance the end of MAGA is in sight, and there's a deep fissure in the GOP that depends on political and physical intimidation to get anything done...that cannot and will not last.

As for Asians, et al...given my experiences in Silicon Valley, some of the very best businesses I've ever dealt with have been Asian owned...our go-to car repair shop has been the best I could ever imagine and they are 2nd generation Vietnamese...never have to question anything they do, or what they charge...always done with the highest quality, on time, and no "Up Selling" on things not needed. They've totally assimilated...close your eyes and you don't know what race they are...just hard working Americans. I feel sorry for the luddites who turn their backs on anyone who isn't White, Straight or Christian.
