Now, at this point, lets stop all gerrymandering int he state, and I'll go along with it.
Gerrymandering is a cancer. Both sides do it…the courts should stop it.

Congressional districts should not be drawn by the parties. It is bad for the republic.

hassee which was done to "preserve minority voting strength".
Now that this blatant attemp at swinging the state has been defeated, I'd be all for simply fixing jurisdictions as they are now on the books.

agree, it is definitely not a great system.
when districts were originally implemented, the populace was not nearly as mobile as it is today, so levelling representation was much easier (and fairer).
now, the populace is very fluid, very heterogenous, making district design a nightmare.
add in political parochialism and you have a dumpster fire.
not sure what the answer is. maybe virtual districts based on ai-assigned demographics vs. topographical boundaries.
needs to be fixed somehow, though.
