Gold star foe the reporter that asked the question.

...One thing for sure...any Republican running for office, who supports Donald Trump will have a lot of explaining to do come 2026.

And shouldn't you be alarmed that you have no independent thoughts on the matter?

In contrast, DJT would have gone ballistic with insults against the reporter sprinkled with several “Nasties” ;-)
Bot then…you knew that.when you posted it.
But Trump!

If you can't answer that your caucus is fit for service, you've completely lost the plot.

you have Mitch McConnell freezing up for 30 sec. at a time...Chuck Grassley is 91 yrs old...and MTG off in outer space with conspiracy theories. The reporter should ask the same question of Republican Leaders as she did with Jeffries...but I've not heard it asked of any Republicans...ergo, it was a biased "Loaded Question" to throw shade on Democrats. I'm curious to know who asked it and from what media outlet.
It's remarkable that I have to spell this out for you. Do you have an objective bone in your body?
It took you 6 posts to admit that.
Were you not embarrassed and appalled when Dianne Feinstein had to be told how to vote on a bill by a staffer?
Were you not embarrassed and appalled to find out the country was run by people other than the president?
But we can agree that the same question should be asked of Speaker Johnson, and if he failed to answer I would be here saying the same thing about him
Notice your instinct to attack the reporter asking the question. It's a simple question where the only acceptable response would be yes. Shouldn't you be asking this question of your own party? It's like you want to keep losing.
asked if Congress should consider enacting rules for physical and mental fitness to serve it would have been a "Fair" question...I'm surprised it took you all these posts to finally get that.
Even if the reporter had framed the question fairly, in his position as Minority Leader it would be poor judgement to agree without conferring with his caucus. BTW, Democrat Rep. Perez from WA has begun discussion on that issue...we'll have to wait and see if GOP Reps join her in seeking legislation.
We both should agree that this is a very difficult and thorny issue...nonetheless, it's worthy of further discussion.
Oh, and as to your comment on Biden...I was very impressed with his cognitive and physical abilities during last year's SOTU Speech...and later, after JB 'Ran out of Gas' in the debate, I concurred that he needed to step aside...which, to his credit, he had the intelligence and courage to do. Would that the current maniac in the Oval Office would do the same....but of course he's terrified of leaving the "safety" of the Presidency and being held accountable for all his truly High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Deep down inside, where you've hidden integrity, honesty and rationality, you know I'm right.
know that's an issue for ALL members of Congress...as you've admitted in this thread. Therefore, the question is "unfair" and puts Rep. Jeffries in an uncomfortable position...i.e. a "Loaded Question"...which you failed to recognize...even after numerous posts.
To help you understand what happened, I've attached a definition of the term, "Loaded Question"...you're welcome.

My spidey senses tell me to go opposite of what the lying left say and do.
...btw, how are you doing with finding professional accolades for Rand Paul, or Baron, that match Dr. Fauci's?...another hallmark of a MAGA..."Crickets" when confronted with evidence...or asked to provide evidence.

Jefferies is coddled by the press and fawned over by sycophantic supporters like Ty. Ty is like Jill Biden after the debate "YOU did such a good job, YOU answered all the questions, YOU deserve two scoops of ice cream". Then Jefferies goes on to get shellacked by a mediocre to bad GOP candidate. Ty will blame everyone (including Russia) for the predictable defeat. But he'll never realize that his candidate sucked.
