That's not how home improvement works.
…how long before some stupid leader makes that decision?
Beware leaders that are too quick to impose restrictions on freedoms in the name of a good cause.
If this is not resisted, they will implement it everywhere else that they desire. The reasons that the govt shuts down activities will become more lax. The type and location of movement restrictions will expand.
I’m honestly cheering for you guys to beat this, but I fear from talking with my Canadian friends that too many of citizens already look to the federal govt to solve all of your problems. It will be glad to do so.
Every crisis represents a chance to take more of your freedoms away.
Regarding fires: better fire fighting strategies such as excavation are going to work much better. But this is a crisis not to be wasted by your leaders. They aren’t fixing it, but they are taking your liberties.

are burning on peat that is feet deep and actually weathers the winter to rekindle up next Spring .
Rain isn't solving thus problem when the fire smolders over a foot underground.
Excavation is the way - and they need to address it better,
When nuisance properties are torn down, the value of the surrounding properties is increased.
We are getting tired of breathing your smoke.
Please try to be more diligent.
crisis to grab more control.
Remote forests with tough terrain and limited access.
Can’t do much about lightning strikes.
But humans also cause many of them.
...That's what's causing the very real Risk of Wildfires...which Canada has become all too familiar with.
btw,...Southern England now has a slightly better climate for growing Champagne grapes than the French region...the world's environment is changing...RAPIDLY...in geologic terms
No one is taking steps like this for Fun & Games...or World Domination by....some dastardly group of...whatever. It's all the result of 'Too Much of a Good Thing"...i.e. the heat and power we've gotten used to from the burning of Fossil Fuels. Fortunately, there are alternatives, so let's accept reality and support the transition.

spells D.R.O.U.G.H.T...and a sensible government response to avoid any risk of extremely hard to control wildfires ruining the forests. Since the observed trend promises more drought, it would be foolish not to take such steps.
...here's an AI summary of Nova Scotia's...What would you do if you were responsible for governing that province?
AI Overview
Yes, Nova Scotia is experiencing less rainfall than normal. Many parts of the province have seen below-average precipitation, with some areas, like Halifax, experiencing their driest July in recent history. This has led to drought-like conditions and prompted water conservation measures in several municipalities.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Below-average rainfall:
.
Southern New Brunswick and much of Nova Scotia received less than 85% of their normal rainfall in June, according to The Economic Times.
Halifax's dry July:
.
Halifax experienced its ninth driest June on record, receiving only 57% of its normal monthly precipitation, according to Global News.
Current drought conditions:
.
As of late July, Nova Scotia has abnormally dry areas, with the central region experiencing a moderate drought, according to CBC.
Water conservation:
.
Due to low water levels, some municipalities, like those in Annapolis County, have implemented water conservation measures and asked residents to limit water usage.
No significant rain in the forecast:
.
There's currently no significant rain in the forecast for Nova Scotia, which is exacerbating the dry conditions.

governments.
But I would be to the left of John Locke, Adam Smith and John Stuart-Mill, all classical liberals I read in my youth.
But as a democratic socialist, you understandably wish to argue against libertarianism in the abstract rather than engage on specific ideas and philosophies. This is how we end up in the stupidity of you asking "what's your solution?" after I've already answered it 10x.

Meanwhile any idiot who wants to set a fire will go and do so anyways. Reminiscent of Dem rule under COVID.
I guess that since liberals are always projecting behavior, this tells us a lot about liberals.
You have to also take this in the context of Canada's other moves against freedoms.
And it’s not just because the worst is expected of human nature. This isn’t an uncommon practice and here’s a clue for ya’…it has nothing to do with liberalism or conservatism. It’s called common sense.
….there is a baseline competence level below which the maintenance of freedom is impossible.

it to burn/smolder itself out. Bog fires burn peat underground. They can smolder all winter and come back to start more fires next Spring. Rainfall helps, but won't solve this. It's not unlike having an oil field fire.
You need to dig trenches to contain. Lots of them. The Canadians haven't done enough so far...other than restrict people's rights and claim global warming.
Now the human factor of the fire start is very possible....as is our old enemy China who was allowed into that country foolishly. China was recently caught trying to sneak crop pathogens into Michigan which could massively hurt our food supply. This sort of act is not beyond them....but that is just conjecture at this point.
But I'd be a LOT more concerned about them than the simple day hikers.
(This is totally different from the Cali fires that Trump was referring to where Cali stupidly refused to clear old dead, dried timber while also having massive increased population....he was correct in that case).
Here’s a link to the National Parks Service that might help you comprehend the situation. And yes, we restrict travel in high fire zones, too.

Look what they tried to sneak into Michigan!
If you want to restrict access, start with your enemy whi could easily be doing this too.
Heading out to train the k9. Have a great day and try to hike in approved areas😂😂😂
