that is, if you even consider fast food. rr uses higher quality meat for their gourmet burgers. they do cost more, but if you have to do it, i recommend them.
We have one nearby. The menu is solid, and the bar is well-stocked. I don't complain when the kids want it, although I try to steer them towards the locally-owned hubs.
There is a family run local place we go to. Best burgers I've ever had. If we go out for burgers, we go there.

Then again, I haven't had one one twenty years.
The best? Maybe Five Guys? A good but not great burger, in my view, but wow are spreading like crazy all over Europe.
I'd probably choose them over Arby's. I haven't been to Arby's in maybe 15 years...maybe more... so maybe they are better now???
McDonalds has bad burgers, but they are generally clean restaurants, so I will stop there on a trip.
Kentucky Fried Chicken has the best chicken, but their restaurants are filthy, so I stopped going there. I just don't trust them. This is why Chick-fil-a jumps to the head of the chicken line, IMO.

Too many yahoos drinking all day and the games drag on into the night. The price we pay for being relevant.

Middleton Very Rare Barry Crockett Legacy.
And I meant Checkers/Rallys. Good correction. Worst fast food ever.
Are Roy Rogers still out there? I remember liking their burgers.
Has the best roast beef sandwiches by far.

I’m with Knute when it comes to good quality burgers. Small, local joints usually make the best burgers as far as restaurants are concerned. At home, my burgers dominate. I do the “smash style” burgers on my Weber griddle. They always come out amazing.
Can't stand their seasoned fries either...that some supposedly rave about.
Agree on the smash burgers. Not my style at all.
5 Guys could be good but they HAVE to cook to medium. Not worth it for me.
I enjoy a thick juicy burger cooked to medium rare. Generally have to seek out a good one made to order in a quality pub.
Some great ones in NYC (JG Melons, Corner Bistro in the Village, Red Hook Tavern, Minetta Tavern [ very pricey], Peter Luger at lunch time, come to mind.). Slabtown burger in Traverse City Michigan makes a very good one...
Eat these VERY rarely these days. Usually better to get a good meat blend and cook a great one at home...
I agree that homemade burgers are the best and well worth the extra effort.
The line was wrapped around both buildings for a week. Having lived in Louisiana in the late 90's, I don't recall them being anything special other than convenient when I was drunk leaving a casino at midnight and unable to get comp.'d for the buffet.
I don't understand anyone's fascination with fast-food burgers. None of them are in the same galaxy as what you can get a good local joint. In your neck of the woods, the burgers at Yo Mama's Grill and Port of Call remain among my all-time favorites.
They use very high quality ingredients still.

You started a good thread, by the way.
Thanks.
I went old school OF and tried to post something other than political BS.
I'd take an Exxon coffee over Starbucks any day of the week.
90 or so new stores over the next 2 years. They have a cult following amongst people who grew up with the brand. I can keep you posted on when you’ll start seeing them.
We’ve also seen them popping up in Florida, right?
Big investment. I can’t see them skipping Ga but can find out and let you know. If you are near a Parker’s Kitchen, they are nice. The guy running their stores came from Wawa and is bringing that feel to their sites.

Every one of them has a line around the block at all times.
It is a perfectly fine chicken sandwich, don't get me wrong. But lots of places have perfectly fine chicken sandwiches. I guess I just have a hard time believing that people choose their lunch based on politics or Jesus or whatever.
My kids go bananas for Raisin Canes. Again, perfectly fine chicken fingers. But c'mon, that's all they have...I don't see the appeal.

Anything pickled, fermented, mustard and the like.

The basic Chicken Sandwich combo is nearly $12 after tax near me. For a decent sandwich and a box with about 5 waffle fries in it.....$12.
Five Guys is extremely expensive near me. I swear my teen son's orders were always around $25 just for him.
CFS locally typically has more business than the other fast food places combined. Excellent product, clean stores, and excellent customer service.

At times, I will switch it up and smoke some bigger burgers and they reverse sear them.
