First half day w NG in DC: 23 arrests of outstandings, homeless camps on short notice...

...to be clear, the people in the illegal homeless camps ARE BEING OFFERED THE OPTION OF HOMELESS SHELTERS AND/OR PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT.
The homeless are not simply being swept away and offered no options.
A big reason they prefer homeless tents to shelters, etc is because they can use drugs freely there and not in the monitored homeless shelter setting. There are others who have an outstanding arrest warrant hiding there.

Trump is cleaning this up, and the mayor of DC has stopped the rhetoric and is starting to play ball with Trump probably because she wants to be seen on the right side of the clean up efforts and later claim credit among the Democrats. Regardless, it is working already,
and a lot of other cities without the good fortune of DC are going to start thinking about this. Dems can only gerrymander their power in these failed blue state cities so far.

People should be free to live as they like crapping all over the place and wiping with leaves.

In fairness, he borrowed this strategy from Gavin Newsom.

The general population in jails doesn't want these people.

Well-intentioned rehab counselors and MH counselors can only do so much.

5000 homeless in DC.

Hope they are housed somewhere before the winter hits.

Chris has no answers, but condemns one that works because it is from his opponent. And to be clear..

...the NG was not sent in to combat crime. The homeless camps are a hot bed of drug use which drives crime as well as a hiding place for criminals. They are also a public sanitary problem and an eyesore. They are illegal.
They are being offered housing in a monitored setting. Only supporters of criminals and drug addicts would oppose their clean up.....and TDS'ers.

I was not asked.

But I can tell you that calling in the military to address the homeless problem was unnecessary, wasteful and dangerous.

But boy, them boys in the country did like to see it, eh?

1) I asked you in this thread. 2)NG was called in for crime problem-homeless incidental to crime 3)-

Only the police and federal agents are making any arrests or cleaning up illegal homeless (read drug) camps. The NG is just making it safe for them to finally do so.

It feels like you have become very intellectually lazy.
