Dems complaining about what they do best.........

Because they've already implemented it so well, they have less ammo here to effect change going forward. They are pissed that GOP is doing what they have already done so well. Let's hope they make this a major issue, as it looks like they are prepared to do.

"Here’s a bit of math, provided by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, that shows how effective the party has been at gerrymandering. States with Democratic state legislative majorities currently control the lines for about 35 GOP seats—all that’s left after their aggressive maps. By contrast, Republican state legislative majorities control the lines for 55 Democratic seats. The difference is the GOP advantage in the war Democrats have escalated. Whoops."
Carry on.

Captain Democracy and Constitution Boy will scream if that happens. And the Dems never do anything wrong. No one said a word about Illinois when it happened but now it’s bad for both sides. Weird right?
Supports it…yet we all say it’s the right way to go.
You should be supporting him…not Trump.
This ought to be good.

model for Redistricting...glad to have the opportunity to do my "Good Deed" for the day...you're welcome.

My question remains, how would it be independent?

and Democratic Socialism…but just in case it’s true, do a search under my Username with the keywords “Communism”, “Democratic”, “Socialism”.
And just in case you choose not to do that…Communism doesn’t allow private ownership, while Democratic Socialism does, plus it depends on more than one party elections…much like a few very democratic countries in Europe.
Bottom Line…you’re dead wrong.

I'm not even trying to argue with you here. How do we make it "independent"?
Perfect, but much better than average. Don’t be a Lazy Bones…fend for yourself.
If you can just have AI summaries do all the work, why even bother coming here and debating people that you don't actually want to debate?
from the NCSL...which in this case is not an AI overview...not that there's anything wrong with that. Since you had no clue, it should have answered your question as to "How would it be Independent?"...btw, there are several other suggestions, but as the following excerpt shows, Iowa makes a special effort...better than most... to make the process truly "Independent".
If you don't like Iowa's approach, say why and propose your own...that's how a debate should play out. Warning:...then you'll have to defend your own recommendation...scary stuff for a Libertarian ;-).
If Texas does this, California will offset it.
Round and round it goes.
And it's not for the weather.

that would have stopped gerrymandering districts for political gain not one republican voted for it.
It's a topic of great concern and should have been addressed decades ago
but it didn't suit those in power at the time and has been an open sore.

If we could figure out where all of the intersex people live, probably Manhattan, we could ensure that they have a voice.
In all seriousness, the whole gerrymandering thing is completely fucked. I don't see an easy solution.
so that people can vote on these things. I have to imagine 90% of the population would oppose both of these things.
If we were to "man on the street" the gerrymandering issue, would the average voter even understand what the term means?
What if we ask AI to redraw all of the districts and propose several maps that could be voted on?
