Some places make it particularly well. I love it for a change of pace.

I know that you're referring to more upscale versions of it, but if I'm getting pizza delivered and I need a change of pace from our local mom/pop pizzeria, Jet's usually hits the mark.

Coincidentally, sitting down to one of the best pies on Long Island. Thin crust, charred in a wood

Not there often these days but usually stop at Franks now because I like the white clam pie.

Me too, they both are excellent. Apizza is the best.

Good work! Nico's is the spot. Finishing my last beer in the sun on the front porch of R&B.

"Last Beer in the Sun" should be the name of a song...or maybe a band...

I prefer cracker thin crust generally, but a Detroit is good once in awhile.

Thanks. Interesting thing about Tavern style: Most native Chicagoans prefer it to deep dish.

Shot and beer joints. B&W TV flickering the Cubs, Bears, and Notre Dame. 10 year old me sitting in a booth, me and my pizza, while my Dad is at the bar watching the Irish with his steelworker buddies. Those were the best days of my life.
