Kirk was provocative, but in traveling to college campuses and discussing and debating with college kids, was doing it exactly in the space where ideas are supposed to be challenged. Or, at least that used to be the case.

Let's not forget that Dowd was an advisor to the RNC in 2002 and to George W. The guy is slimy at best.
