this offended and falsely accused a very wide base of even Disney’s audience that they don’t want to lose.

Now, if you want to argue that there were many other times Kimmel walked over such a line, I’d agree with you, but the difference is that up until recently, Disney had different leadership and had been less accountable to its stockholders.
