I am a Notre Dame fan, but when I was child ND wasn't all that great so I chose UNC as my BB team, But I still support ND for obvious reasons, and I also support Texas Tech, because I'm from Lubbock.
As far as childish names , you've never called another school, a funny altered name ? And if you haven't I don't care, get off my back, I respect Duke highly, I don't like them, but I respect them. If I say Puke its all in fun, not being childish.

I was at Tuesday's game against FSU, and Lawson does not look 100%.
I'm no expert, but he sure looked tentative to me. I'm not sure if his presence along will swing things in NC's favor.

I would describe a Canuck who takes the time to drive 260 miles out of his way during a Disney family vacation for a Florida State basketball game as something a tad north of casual.

Interesting as a fan of basketball that you wouldnt be interested in what will surely be a memorable game between two highly talented, highly skilled teams...I assume it has something to do with your geographic location...why would you not be interested?

Well, I'm a Louisville fan too, so its hard to get into a game I don't care about. I know Duke-UNC are among the Elite teams in basketball, but I can only take so much about these teams. Basically can't stand them because I get sick of hearing about them.

I've lived all over the country and even have family in the Philly area...I'm just a huge fan of the game....and my son is very interested in going to Duke....heresy I know but my daughter could likely be a Gator....
I think Coach K has done a lot with the team he's got this year....it's truly missing a big man but has some great shooters and just some great disciples of the game....I also think they have great team chemistry and play the game as a team...there are no showboats on that team....

Not only did they not get swept by Maryland, they swept Maryland themselves. Probably the dumbest stat anyone has every tried to slip by me. Nice try doh. And oh yeah, UNC did lose to Marland AT HOME.
Not sure Duke will make it past the sweet 16 either, but that is because they rely a lot on the three. If they hit their 3's not many teams can beat them, if they don't then just about any team can beat them.
As for IU, they are still very talented but have mailed in the season. It is no coincidence that the 4 worst games they have played this year are the four games after Sampson was fired. I mean, on senior night they couldn't even play hard until 6 minutes to go when the realized they might actually lose to Minnesota. To paraphrase Jamarcus Ellis after the MSU game, "we just haven't been playing hard."

Maybe I was watching the chicks play and the commentator said it. Or maybe it WAS just the other way around.
Still, I haven't been impressed by Duke this year. A physical team that can bang the boards and guard the perimeter gives them fits. This is the weakest ACC in the last 20 years, and it's hard to call UNC or Duke dominant without wondering if they've really played anybody.
I think you are right not to pick them for the Sweet 16
If they face an athletic team in the second round who can hound their perimeter guys, they will be knocked off.
