You're not imagining it that college grads and professors are growing dumber.

Attaining a degree these days is truly about the most unimpressive thing to brag about that is possible.

5 yrs of grunt work and then a lifetime of academic gravy train. (As long as you openly support the correct political causes).

The gravy train has been upended for the first time ever in the past year. The decay and rot within academia is very extensive.
There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth and claims that this needed cull is killing people.
The truth is that the private sector is far better suited to reward merit and cull the chaffe.

...on a more serious note, a SIL of mine...a PhD Professor in Business (now retired), bemoaned the general lack of commitment and effort by more and more students who seem to feel entitled to high grades w/o the work showing...had a significant influence on her decision to retire sooner than she would have preferred.

My take is that it isn't real IQ scores that are going down...it's just decreases in Critical Thinking, and increases in laziness...reflected in the posts of many OF participants.

Ph.D.'s with IQ's less than 80. These are people at a level the US Army thinks are untrainable.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.
