wonderful, a mixture of gratitude and joy (and maybe a few tears...).

Def Leppard. I shit you not.

I am thrilled, truly. Pyromania was the soundtrack of my high school days. (along with Van Halen I)

I just hope they don't suck.

I think they make a fairly decent chunk of change for a single night's work

I went to a similar show with Train at the House of Blues in New Orleans a few years back and Train got paid $500k for a 1.5 hour set.

I don't think Joe Elliot can hit the high notes anymore, unfortunately

Saw them early 80's with Billy Squier. Can't remember who opened.

One-armed drummer was unique.

Billy Squier must have opened, right?

They were showing their age a bit. Some of these older touring bands are like the Ship of Theseus. If you replace all the parts, is it still the same ship?

Many fans are not particular. They just want to hear the songs.

They're not expecting these artists to look and sound like they did 40 and 50 years ago, They don't care how many original members are in the band, if any. They just want to hear the hits. The songs. I saw Ringo a few years back and I thought he looked and sounded great. Todd Rundgren too. America was incredible all these years later. Huge difference between Bad Company in the 70s and Bad Company recently. Time does that. I'm just glad I took advantage of the Chicago concert scene back in the 60s and 70s and saw so many of the greats when they were lean, mean, music making machines.

After Paul started with, "When I was younger so much younger than today..." we all felt younger.
