One more thing...given that NATO is more than a match for today's Russia, the fact that it hasn't

made any effort to seize a millimeter of Russian territory in all the years of its existence, invalidates Putin's argument that further expansion of NATO (e.g. Ukraine) would be a Threat to Russia...to the contrary...his own actions demonstrate a Threat to NATO.

The only real Threat is NATO standing in the way of Putin's efforts to resurrect the Soviet Union...let's be clear on that point...while also noting that Donald J. Trump, for whatever reason...sides with Putin and welcomes his assistance in winning the U.S. Presidency.

to preserve their democracies...consequently, they joined NATO. So long as Russia is controlled by the likes of Putin, Ukraine too, needs to have the option of joining that Self Defense Organization.

...........they have no military power that could begin to confront the Russians in that part of the world. The populations in most if not all of the NATO countries have no desire for War and will not support their governments if they decide to enter the War. The war in Ukraine has been over almost from the start and will end soon as the Ukraine runs of soldiers. NATO (The Emperor) has no clothes.

NATO’s collective military strength could compete and possibly defeat Russia without US involvement. With US involvement, NATO would route Russia. Nukes are another story, but if Russia used nukes it would be the end of Russia rather quickly.

Also, the first and last time article 5 was invoked was after 9/11. NATO came to our aid and helped tremendously with the global war on terror.

And as Russian Federation countries see the potential for independence Putin has fare bigger concerns that attacking any NATO country, especially with XI salivating over a potential recovery of Siberia.

He comes from a family of anti-capitalists and has always hated the West.

I'm not sure when he gave this harangue but he's got to feel distressed today by the prospect of the Russian Federation's collapse
