When you cannot do things yourself, claim credit from others. If things go badly, then blame others.
Blinken et al blamed Trump for their Afghanistan Withdrawal debacle.
Now, Trump does something after they are gone that they could never do, and he takes credit. Without neutering Iran, motivating Turkey, and having Israel trust the US Adm enough to make concessions, this deal would never be done. All of these prerequisites were accomplished specifically and only by Trump. And then the deal itself.
Reasonable libs on this board we’re fine about this, but Anthony Blinken didn’t like the way it looked for him when those hostages were released. Perhaps because he never really cared enough to do more for them as Trump did.
