Even if Hamas breaks their word and everything falls through (more likely than not imho), the deal resulted in the hostages being released - making it fully worthwhile. To me, the hostage release was most important.
The victims are freed, and should Hamas break their word, most of the world and most Arab states will also will be against them.
But the American radical Left is not rational. Just as many felt elation when Charlie Kirk was assassinated, so too here they felt disappointment when the hostages were released because Trump was who did it.

And traffic was stopped downtown for a "Globalize the Intifada" protest. In Wisconsin.
Now I think Israel should have taken Elon's advice rather than shock and awe. And I don't approve of the Israeli actions fully. But this was before any of that, 6K miles away from Gaza in Wisconsin!
