The liberals need conflict and division to sell their communist agenda. It is a bitter option that they propose, and to claim that it is the best solution, they need severely bad conditions to make it seem palatable.

Allowing Hamas to roam the streets of Gaza publicly assassinating all opponents is not a step toward
lasting peace. This is the same tactic Bibi has been using to keep the moderate Palestinians from gaining power and acceptance.
That can't be allowed to screw up the deal
There are always enemies of peace. They can't be allowed to drive the narrative.
And we should not be too focused on disarming Hamas. After all, it took years after the Good Friday agreement for the IRA to turn over its arms. Peace can precede disarmament.
Both Hamas and Bibi want "One State" Solutions...without the International community enforcing
recognition of Palestine as a state...with moderate PA governance, I...and Tom Friedman don't see much hope for lasting and just peace.

You have to have no knowledge of the region to think it is all over...but hey, it is a good first step.
It's almost like you only care who gets credit.
I think this deal has a better chance to last because Trump is president. He has attached so much of his personal reputation to it that he will be willing to go to greater lengths to prevent it from falling apart. Which is a good thing.
Maybe it is indeed the first step toward real stability.
